What are the symptoms of ovarian cancer?
The most common symptoms of ovarian cancer are:
- Abdominal bloating or increased abdominal size
- Abdominal or pelvic pain
- Appetite loss, feeling full quickly or indigestion
- Urinary changes, such as frequency or urgency
- Changes in bowel habits, such as constipation
- Unexplained weight loss or weight gain
- Unexplained fatigue
The symptoms of ovarian cancer can be vague and similar to other common conditions. If you experience any of these symptoms, especially if they are unusual for you or persistent it's important to see your doctor to be sure.
There is no screening test for ovarian cancer.
The best thing you can do is to know your body and be aware of the symptoms of the disease. If you’re concerned about a symptom that is unusual for you, see your GP without delay.
Trust your instincts. No one knows your body like you do.
