The Australian Cancer Trials website has been developed by Cancer Australia, in partnership with the Australian New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry, the University of Sydney and Cancer Voices. It has been designed to provide Australians with consumer-friendly information about current cancer clinical trials.

Cancer Australia and its National Consumer Advisory Group value their partnership with the University of Sydney and the NHMRC Australian New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry, in collaboratively developing the Australian Cancer Trials website. Consumers have been extensively involved in its development, with a consumer as a chief investigator (Cancer Voices NSW) on the research team responsible for the evaluation of the website.

The website has been formally evaluated through a National Medical Health and Research Council research grant.

Professor Jim Bishop, Chief Medical Officer for the Australian Government, launched the website in November 2010.
