Cancer data is key to improving cancer outcomes. Improving collection/ access/ analysis and reporting of national cancer data will help better understand unwarranted variations in cancer outcomes across the Australian population.
In order to achieve this goal, Cancer Australia is undertaking two flagship projects:
- a project focussed on the collection/ collation and reporting of national data on cancer Stage, Treatment, and Recurrence (STaR)
- a website aimed at developing a national framework of key National Cancer Control Indicators (NCCI) which was launched in 2017.
